Our mission
Final Capsule exists for a single reason: most people leave the most important things unsaid, and the most important credentials unreachable. We make it easy to prepare encrypted messages, letters, voice notes, photos and videos for the people you love, and to deliver them only at the right moment.
Why we built it
When a loved one dies, families are usually locked out of accounts, password managers, hardware wallets and seed phrases. Existing tools either require handing over secrets while you are alive, or rely on unencrypted will documents that become public at probate. We wanted a third option: a sealed, end-to-end-encrypted capsule that opens for the right person, only after a robust multi-phase verification confirms that you can no longer access it yourself.
How we work
Final Capsule was founded in 2025 by an independent team and publicly launched in 2026. Every capsule is encrypted client-side with AES-256-GCM before it leaves your browser. Our servers store only ciphertext: we cannot read your messages, and we never sell or share your data. Infrastructure is hosted in the European Union, under European data protection rules. There is no subscription and no expiry: a one-time Lifetime upgrade keeps your capsules for as long as the service runs, and we publish a public sunset policy so your plan is always recoverable.
